Terms of Service
Last updated 15 April 2026
Welcome to EasyHire. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Tech Adventures Ltd, and they govern how you use our platform. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, publishing a job, or applying to a job through EasyHire, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
EasyHire is a product of Tech Adventures Ltd, a private company limited by shares incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, with Corporate Affairs Commission registration number RC 8855272("Tech Adventures", "we", "us", or "our").
In these Terms, "EasyHire" or the "Service" refers to the EasyHire web application, its application programming interfaces, and any related websites, email communications, and support we provide.
2. Definitions
- Employer — an individual or organisation that uses EasyHire to post roles, review applications, or conduct interviews.
- Candidate — an individual who applies to a role through EasyHire or participates in an assessment or interview conducted through the Service.
- Organisation — a company or team account created by an Employer, which may include one or more authorised users.
- Content — any material uploaded, created, or submitted through EasyHire, including job descriptions, CVs, written and audio responses, transcripts, notes, and messages.
- AI Outputs — any scores, summaries, recommendations, extracted fields, transcripts, or other content that the Service generates using artificial intelligence.
- Personal Data — has the meaning given to it under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
3. Who can use EasyHire
To use EasyHire as an Employer, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to bind the Organisation on whose behalf you are acting.
To apply to a role or complete an assessment as a Candidate, you must be at least 16 years old and lawfully able to work in the jurisdiction where the role is based. EasyHire is not intended for children below the minimum legal working age in their jurisdiction.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and, where applicable, your Organisation, and to keep that information up to date.
4. Your account
Certain features of EasyHire require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. You must notify us promptly at info@easyhire.africa if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not share your account, allow others to use it, or create accounts through automated means. We may refuse, suspend, or cancel accounts at our discretion where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
5. What EasyHire does
EasyHire is an AI-assisted hiring platform. It helps Employers describe the role they are hiring for, publish a job, receive and evaluate applications, run written and voice assessments, schedule interviews, and review candidates through a pipeline. It helps Candidates understand a role, apply, and complete structured assessments designed to reveal more than a CV alone can.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract information from CVs, score assessment responses, transcribe audio, summarise interviews, and surface recommendations. These capabilities are described in more detail in section 8 below.
We may add, remove, or change features of the Service from time to time. Where a change materially reduces the Service, we will give you reasonable notice.
6. If you are hiring: Employer obligations
6.1 Non-discrimination and lawful hiring
You agree to use EasyHire only in a manner consistent with all applicable labour, employment, equal-opportunity, and anti-discrimination laws of the jurisdictions in which you operate and hire. You may not use the Service to screen, rank, reject, or otherwise make decisions about Candidates on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, pregnancy, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
You remain solely responsible for your hiring decisions and for ensuring those decisions and the processes that lead to them are lawful, fair, and appropriate for your context.
6.2 Your role as data controller
When you use EasyHire to collect and evaluate Candidate information, you act as the data controller for that Personal Data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and any other applicable data-protection law. Tech Adventures acts as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for:
- Having a valid lawful basis to collect and process Candidate Personal Data.
- Providing Candidates with a clear privacy notice about how their data will be used (our Privacy Policy describes how we process it on your behalf).
- Honouring Candidates' rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and human review of automated decisions.
- Retaining Candidate data only for as long as necessary and instructing us when to delete it.
By accepting these Terms, you also accept our Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of our agreement and sets out the details of how we process Candidate Personal Data on your behalf.
6.3 Content you upload
You warrant that any Content you upload — including company materials, job descriptions, assessment questions, and documents used to configure the Service — is accurate, lawful, and yours to share. You may not upload Content that infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or would breach a confidentiality obligation owed to another party.
6.4 Interviews, recordings, and the meeting assistant
Where you enable voice assessments, you are responsible for ensuring Candidates understand that they are being recorded and transcribed. Where you enable the EasyHire meeting assistant to join a video or phone interview, you are responsible for informing every participant on the call, obtaining any consents required by local law, and for ensuring the call may lawfully be recorded in the jurisdiction in which it takes place. The meeting assistant identifies itself on the call.
7. If you are applying for a job: Candidate terms
If you apply to a role through EasyHire, you agree to provide truthful and accurate information and to submit only Content that is yours to share. You understand that:
- The Employer that posted the role — not Tech Adventures — makes the hiring decision.
- Your CV and application responses are shared with that Employer.
- Written and voice responses you submit may be evaluated using AI to generate scores, summaries, and recommendations for the Employer.
- You may withdraw your application at any time by contacting the Employer or us at info@easyhire.africa.
If you would like to exercise rights over your Personal Data, please read our Privacy Policy — it explains how Candidate data is handled and how to make a request.
8. AI-assisted features and how to think about outputs
EasyHire uses artificial intelligence to support hiring. It generates draft job descriptions, extracts structured information from CVs, scores written and voice responses against a rubric you configure, transcribes and analyses interviews, and surfaces recommendations to help Employers prioritise their time.
AI Outputs are decision-support, not decisions. Scores, rankings, summaries, and suggestions generated by the Service are intended to help Employers review candidates more efficiently. They are probabilistic, may contain errors or biases, and should never be treated as a substitute for human judgment. The Employer is solely responsible for every hiring decision made in connection with the Service.
We do not use Employer or Candidate Content to train publicly available AI models. Where third-party AI providers assist in generating AI Outputs, we engage them under contractual terms that restrict how Content may be used.
9. Automated decision-making
Employers may configure EasyHire to automatically advance Candidates to the next stage when an AI-generated score is above a threshold, or to automatically reject Candidates when a score is below a threshold. Where automated processing produces a decision that has a significant effect on a Candidate, the Candidate has the right to:
- Be informed that automated decision-making is taking place.
- Request meaningful human review of the decision.
- Express their point of view and contest the outcome.
Candidates who wish to exercise these rights should first contact the Employer for the role. If a Candidate cannot resolve the matter with the Employer, they may contact us at info@easyhire.africa.
10. Fees, payment, and refunds
Some features of EasyHire require payment. Current prices, candidate caps, and tier features are shown in the application at the point of purchase. Taxes, where applicable, are added at checkout. By selecting a paid tier or add-on, you authorise us (through our payment processor) to charge the payment method you provide.
Payments are processed by a regulated third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our systems.
Because AI analysis is performed as Candidates apply and consumes external resources that we pay for on your behalf, fees for a job become non-refundable once the first Candidate has been analysed. Before that point, unused job credits may be refunded at our discretion by contacting info@easyhire.africa. Chargebacks made without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account.
11. Third-party services
EasyHire may integrate with third-party services you choose to connect — for example, calendar providers for interview scheduling, video-conferencing tools, and payment processors. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or behaviour, and disconnecting a third-party integration may affect the functionality available to you within the Service.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms or any applicable law.
- Post roles that are fraudulent, deceptive, or that do not represent genuine employment or engagement opportunities.
- Harass, defame, or discriminate against any Candidate or Employer.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, interfere with its operation, or probe, scan, or test its vulnerabilities without our written consent.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service by automated means without our prior written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation.
- Use the Service, Content, or AI Outputs to develop, train, fine-tune, or evaluate any product or model that competes with EasyHire.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code or content that is designed to disrupt or damage the Service.
13. Your Content and the licence you grant us
You retain ownership of the Content you submit to EasyHire. You grant Tech Adventures a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, analyse, reformat, and otherwise process that Content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service for you, and to comply with legal obligations.
We may generate aggregated, de-identified insights from usage of the Service (for example, benchmarks about response quality or time-to-hire). Those insights do not identify you, your Organisation, or any Candidate.
14. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by Tech Adventures Ltd and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted by implication.
15. Confidentiality
Information that each party learns about the other through using the Service — including Candidate information, job pipelines, pricing, and non-public product features — must be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of using or providing the Service. This obligation survives termination.
16. Service availability and warranties
We work hard to keep EasyHire reliable, but the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI Outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech Adventures Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, whether in contract, tort, or any other theory, will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) ten thousand Nigerian naira (₦10,000).
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
18. Indemnity
If you are an Employer, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tech Adventures Ltd from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) any Content you upload, (c) any hiring decision you make in connection with the Service, (d) any claim brought by a Candidate relating to your handling of their Personal Data, and (e) your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law.
19. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. An Employer may close their account by contacting info@easyhire.africa. A Candidate may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or if we reasonably believe that your continued use of the Service would expose us or our users to legal, security, or reputational risk.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. For a period of up to thirty (30) days after termination, an Employer may request an export of their Organisation's data. After that period, we will delete or anonymise your data in accordance with our retention practices, except where we are required to keep it to meet legal, regulatory, accounting, or security obligations. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
20. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will give you reasonable notice — typically at least thirty (30) days — by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of EasyHire after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service.
21. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, it will be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts sitting in Lagos, Nigeria.
22. General
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order form or Data Processing Addendum between us, make up the entire agreement between you and Tech Adventures with respect to the Service.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Notices. Legal notices to us should be sent to the address and email below. We will send notices to you at the email address on your account.
